Topics/Call fo Papers

Optimization is central to decision making problems in our practical life. When modeling
a practical problem into mathematical form and trying to solve it, we need some delicate
mathematical tools and much innovative thought, which promotes the development of
optimization theory and corresponding methods. Nowadays these methods have been
extensively used in many aspects such as engineering, logistics, economics, management,
computer science and mathematics itself. But changes are always happening in our
practical life and computer technology is always been in progress, so we are now facing
more and more complicated optimization problems and meanwhile have stronger ability
to solve these problems.
In order to strengthen academic exchanges and discussions on the fields of optimization
methods and applications, the 2014 Second International Workshop on Optimization
Methods and Applications (OMA 2014) will be held on 4-6 July 2014 in Beijing, China.
This workshop is one part of the Seventh International Conference on Computational
Sciences and Optimization (CSO 2014). We are pleased to invite you to attend this
workshop and submit original papers. All accepted papers will be published by IEEE
Computer Society.
Tops of Interest
The workshop will provide an open forum for any original papers concerned with
optimization methods and applications. Tops of interest include, but not limited to:
● linear and nonlinear programming
● cone optimization
● global optimization
● integer programming
● uncertainty optimization
● combinational optimization
● network optimization
● game theory
● dynamic programming
● optimization in finance, management, statistics or communication
