SCSA 2014 - The 4th International Workshop on Spatial Computational Sciences and Applications (SCSA2014)
Topics/Call fo Papers
The International Workshop on Spatial Computational Sciences and Applications is concerned with
innovative theory and methods of managing spatial information. Spatial information theory deals with
the formal and natural description of processes and events in spatial environments, thus providing a
foundation for the design and construction of geographic information systems (GIS) and for spatial
information systems (SIS) in general. Empirical investigations, formal models, and the use of spatial
information technologies reveal a large number of interesting research questions which require an
interdisciplinary approach for their solution.
This special session intends to provide a premier and open forum for the dissemination of innovative
spatial computational techniques and original spatial information analysis methods. Perspective
authors are encouraged to submit papers on any aspect of innovative spatial information computing
techniques and their applications, but not limited to the following topics:
? Geography and Geo-information Science
? Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Cognitive Science
? Novel Meta-heuristic Optimization Methods with Applications
? Spatial Big Data Conflation and Spatial Data Mining
? Spatial Optimization Theory, Methods and Applications
? Spatial Target Tracking
? Spatial Mission Planning
? Cognitive Maps and Spatial Reasoning
? Marine GIS Theory and Applications
? Ontology and Spatial Relations
? Landmarks and Navigation
? Spatial Information Visualization ? Remote Sensing System and Applications
? Space Environment / Deep Space Exploration
? E-navigation
? Control Theory with its Applications in Spatial Equipment
