2011 - ITNG 2011 - Model-based Software Development Track, Call for Papers
Topics/Call fo Papers
8th International Conference on Information Technology New Generations - ITNG 2011
April 11-13, 2011, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Model-based Software Development Track
Nowadays the tendency for software development is changing from manual coding to automatic code generation; it is becoming model-based. This is a response to the software crisis, in which the cost of hardware has decreased and conversely the cost of software development has increased sharply. The methodologies that allowed this change are model-based, thus relieving the human from detailed coding. Still there is a long way to achieve this goal, but work is being done worldwide to achieve this objective. The necessary knowledge passes through a variety of topics as Information Technologies, Formal Methods, Computer Mathematics, Algorithms, Software Engineering, Programming Languages, Embedded Systems, among others. The purpose of this track is to be an open forum to discuss scientific aspects of the computer science, model-based software development, and its associated theory.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Algorithms and Computational Mathematic
- Embedded Systems
- Formal Methods
- Information Technology
- MDA ? Model Driven Architecture
- MDD ? Model Driven Development
- MDE ? Model Driven Engineering
- Programming Languages
- Software Engineering
- Web Systems
Paper Submission
Proceedings will be published by the CPS/IEEE Computer Society's Conference Publishing Services. Electronic submission in MS Word (.doc) format is required. Papers must represent high quality and previously unpublished work, not currently under review by another conference, workshop, or journal.
Interested authors should submit a 3 to 6-page paper of their original and unpublished work including 5 keywords in the IEEE conference proceedings format, slightly modified for ITNG. You can use this template: IEEEPaperTemplateModifiedForITNG2011 Please submit your paper via the Web-based system at: https://www.softconf.com/b/itng2011/.
Deadlines
Paper Submission Deadline: October 30, 2010
Author Notification: November 26, 2010
Camera Ready Paper Due (6 pages maximum): February 4, 2011
Evaluation Process
Papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and soundness. Per ITNG policy, except for invited papers, all papers will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings published by the CPS/IEEE Computer Society and available on the IEEE digital library.
Best Student Paper
The Best Student Paper will be awarded at the conference. To be eligible, the student must be the sole author of the paper, or the first author and primary contributor. (The winner of the award will present the paper in a plenary session at the conference). A cover letter to the General Chair/Track Chair must identify the paper as a candidate for this competition at the time of submission.
