WHC 2011 - 2011 World Haptics Conference (WHC 2011)
Topics/Call fo Papers
The fourth IEEE World Haptics Conference (http://www.haptics2011.org/)
will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from 22-24 June, 2011 (note:
tutorials and workshops will be held on June 21, 2011). This is a
joint meeting of the EuroHaptics Conference and the IEEE Haptics
Symposium and brings together researchers from different disciplines
who are interested in all aspects of haptics.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to
Design of haptic interfaces
Tactile displays and sensing
Haptic rendering and virtual environments
Haptic perception and cognition
Biomechanics of touch
Haptic guidance and motor control
Shared haptics (control, tele-operation, collaboration)
Applications of haptics to entertainment, media, medicine,
rehabilitation, education, data visualization, art, rapid prototyping,
and nano/micro technologies
Submissions are sought in the following categories:
A) Technical Papers: All technical papers are peer-reviewed and then
accepted for oral/poster presentation or rejected. Authors can also
submit a video supplement with their paper. Papers and videos will
appear both in the USB memory stick and will be posted on IEEE Xplore.
The technical papers must be in English, and not exceed six (6) pages
in length (a separate abstract of 100 words and an image are required

Demonstration Abstract Submission Deadline: 15 March, 2011, midnight
Pacific Daylight Time.
C) Commercial Exhibits: World Haptics is the best chance to present
your organization's products or developments related to haptic
interfaces, sensors/actuators, robotics, simulation environments, and
virtual reality.
More information regarding paper format and submission procedure is
available at the conference web-site
(http://www.haptics2011.org/).
