The Sports, Leisure & Recreation Research Unit of ATINER organizes a Stream on “Video Technology within Sports” as part of the 18th Annual International Conference on Sports: Economic, Management, Marketing & Social Aspects, 14-17 May 2018, Athens, Greece sponsored by the Athens Journal of Sports.
Film and video are one of the core technologies that are used within sports in different contexts; for communication and marketing purposes as well as for education and training. At the same time, sport is a driver of technology development due to its high demand value and its penetration of almost all social stratum. In this panel, different application scenarios in sports communication and in sporting learning and training processes are examined by means of concrete examples and the potential of innovative video technologies for different fields of application will be estimated. You may participate as presenter of one paper, chair or/and organizer of a session, or observer.
Fee structure information is available on www.atiner.gr/2018fees.
Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A pragmatic symposium (as organized in Ancient Athens but fine tuned to synchronous ethics), a special one-day educational island tour, a Mycanae and island of Poros visit, an Athens educational walking tour, an one-day visit to Delphi and an ancient Corinth and Cape Sounion visit. Details of the social program are available here.
Please submit a 300-word abstract before 2 April 2018, by email, to atiner-AT-atiner.gr, Dr. Andreas Hebbel-Seeger, Academic Member, ATINER and Professor & Head, Media School, Macromedia University of Applied Sciences, Germany.
