The Sociology Unit of the ATINER is organizing A Stream on “Studying National Well-Being: Theory, Research and Practice”, 7-10 May 2018, Athens, Greece as part of the 12th Annual International Conference on Sociology sponsored by the Athens Journal of Social Sciences.
This stream hosts papers whose aim is to study Countries Well-Being and all the other relevant related concepts, such as Social Cohesion, Welfare, Development, and Quality of life. Contributions from different fields and perspectives are highly welcome: from Sociology to Economy, from Demography to Political Studies, from Social Psychology to Philosophy. Even it is not mandatory, comparative analysis among different countries would be appreciated, especially with a focus on Southern European Countries.
Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A pragmatic symposium (as organized in Ancient Athens but fine tuned to synchronous ethics), a special one-day educational island tour, a Mycanae and island of Poros visit, an Athens educational walking tour, an one-day visit to Delphi and an ancient Corinth and Cape Sounion visit. Details of the social program are available here.
Fee structure information is available on http://www.atiner.gr/fees.

Academically, the Association is organized into seven Divisions and 37 Units. Each Unit organizes at least an Annual International Conference, and may also undertake various small and large research projects.
