Camera ready paper submission: February 4, 2011
The ISPLC will bring together academia and industry professionals as well as students and researchers to present and discuss ongoing work on existing and future power line communication (PLC) systems, PLC applications, PLC standardization activities with emphasis, but not limited, to:
Channel characterization and modeling
Electro-magnetic compatibility/interference and coupling
Modulation, coding techniques, and error control
Signal processing
Multiple access techniques and MAC protocols
Duplex and repeater techniques, routing, and autonomous network functions
Cognitive and Cooperative algorithms and approaches
Modem and LSI design
System architectures and solutions
Network planning, optimization and service management
Cross-layer optimization and service integration
Coexistence and interoperability
Security in PLC
Access PLC networks
In-home PLC networks
In-vehicle power line networks
Smart Grids
Green Communications
Broadband and multimedia applications
Experimental systems, field trials, and commercial networks
Standardization and regulation
Business perspectives
Contributions from related fields, as for instance wireless, provided that explain analogies/differences with PLC and stimulate cross-fertilization, are also welcome.
Submission guidelines
Prospective authors are encouraged to submit original full papers up to six pages in PDF not published or submitted anywhere else. Submissions will be handled by the EDAS system.
Title, authors and abstract has to be registered in EDAS before November 7, 2010. The full paper has to be submitted in EDAS by November 21, 2010.
Information for Authors
To be published in the IEEE ISPLC 2011 Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full (member or non-member) rate and must present the paper at the conference . Registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for up to 3 papers. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE ISPLC 2011 Conference Proceedings. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE ISPLC 2011 Conference Proceedings and in IEEE Xplore.
