The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management ? Kerala (IIITM-K) is an institution established by Government of Kerala for higher education in Information Technology and related areas. IIITM-K started one year full time Post Graduate Diploma course in e-Governance (PGDeG) in 2009 to produce large number of trained professionals to fill the shortage of experts in the field of e-governance for the effective implementation of e-Governance Projects. This workshop is organized as part of our e-Gov initiatives. A number of ambitious e-Governance projects are currently under implementation across the country by organizations both
in the private and public sector. The proposed short course is an attempt to give exposure to the participants on conceptual inputs and practical insights for successful implementation of the e-Gov projects.
Faculty
Mr B Krishnamurthy, Founder and Managing Director of Best Known Methods and Solutions Private Limited and visiting faculty of NISG, Hyderabad is the Chief Resource Person who has rich experience in the area and who is supported by faculty members of IIITM-K and will be supported by the Institute's excellent IT infrastructure. The short course would be beneficial to professionals associated with implementation of e-Gov projects.
Workshop Objective
To familiarize the participants on the life cycle of e-Gov projects by giving conceptual inputs and practical insights.
Participant Profile
Government employee (Govt of Kerala, Other State Govt, Central Govt and Public Sector Unit) involved in e-Gov project
Employees of private company involved in e-Gov projects
Preferable to have a minimum overall working experience of at least 2 years
Outcome expected
The participants will be able to
Understand and apply the learning for doing e-Governance projects
Review the e-Governance projects
Understand the relevance of e-Governance projects
Understand the life cycle of e-Governance projects
Know the factors involved and plan for them in advance
Review & monitor the progress of e-Governance projects

Introduction to Government Process Re-engineering
Introduction to Project Management including DPR
Business Models and service level agreements
Legal and contractual aspects related to e-gov projects
Group work on e-Governance projects (either from the departments Or from archives)
Duration
3 working days from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm, each day having 4 sessions of 90 minutes duration
