ChileCHI (Chilean Conference on Human ? Computer Interaction) aims to be a forum for the sharing of new knowledge and exchange of international scientific results that brings together both Chilean and international perspectives from professionals in the area of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). The event had its origin in the The First Chilean Workshop on User eXperience with Information Technology (UXwIT 2012), organized in Valparaíso, Chile, as part of the Jornadas Chilenas de Computación 2012.
The Jornadas Chilenas de Computación (JCC) is the most important computer science event in Chile since 1993. Its objective is to provide a meeting point for the academia and the industry in computer science and informatics, to share experience, develop joint projects and expand these disciplines. It comprises a number of conferences and workshops, and it is organized by the Chilean Society of Computation Science (SCCC ? Sociedad Chilena de Ciencia de la Computación).
THEME
The Latin American and the International HCI communities are invited to exchange ideas, methods, approaches and techniques that aim designing interactive user experiences. We believe that in the field of HCI, not only we must come to a technology that can be used and appreciated by as many people as possible, but also to promote intercultural exchange and cooperation between people with different backgrounds and needs.

PAPER SUBMISSION
ChileCHI 2013 invites high quality contributions describing significant, original, and unpublished results for submission in the following categories:
Full papers:
Intend to allow presentation of academic research results of high quality. Submissions must contain an original contribution, and may not have already been published in another forum, nor be subject to review for other conferences or publications. Contributions should include unpublished results of research, case studies or experiences that provide new evidence about the research or application regarding HCI. Articles accepted in this category will be published in the proceedings of the event. Full papers must not exceed 6 pages (including figures and appendices).
Short papers (work in progress):
Intend to allow presentation of ongoing studies with partial (but significant) results. Submissions must contain an original contribution, and may not have already been published in another forum, nor be subject to review for other conferences or publications. Articles accepted in this category will be published in the proceedings of the event. Short papers must not exceed 4 pages (including figures and appendices).
Posters and demonstrations:
Intend to promote an environment of visibility and discussions with companies, universities and developers to produce interactive computer systems of all kinds. Posters and demonstrations proposal must not exceed 2 pages (including figures and appendices).
All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous peer review process. Papers will be selected based on originality, quality, soundness and relevance. All contributions must be original, not published, accepted or submitted for publication elsewhere. Submissions should be made by EasyChair system, available from the JCC 2013 website.
