Scope
The Internet Service and Applications Symposium will focus on the broad area of topics related to aspects of
Internet services (Quality of Service, routing, security, multicasting, web applications, etc.) and Internet applications
(cloud storage, smart phones, etc.). Of special interest are papers reporting on novel and practical solutions to timely
and compelling problems in the Internet design space. To ensure complete coverage of the advances in Internet
services and applications, the Internet Services and Applications Symposium presents original contributions in, but
not limited to, the following topical areas:

Short biography of co-Chairs
Periklis Chatzimisios received the Ph.D. degree from Bournemouth University, UK in 2005. He is currently an
Assistant Professor with the Computing Systems, Security and Networks (CSSN) Research Lab of the Department
of Informatics at the Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki (ATEITHE), Greece. His current research activities include
performance modelling, analysis and discrete-event simulation of wireless communication protocols, multimedia
communications (mainly Quality of Service & Quality of Experience) as well as security and network management.
Cheng-Hsin Hsu received the Ph.D. degree from Simon Fraser University, Canada in 2009, the M.Eng. degree from
University of Maryland, College Park in 2003, and the M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from National Chung Cheng
University, Taiwan in 2000 and 1996, respectively. He is an Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science
at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. He was a Senior Research Scientist at Deutsche Telekom R&D Lab
USA, Los Altos, CA between 2009 and 2011. Prior his Ph.D., Cheng-Hsin was with Lucent Technologies and
Motorola. His research interests are in the area of multimedia networking and distributed systems.
