Topics/Call fo Papers

Since the first conference in 1995, EANN has provided a great discussion forum on engineering applications of neural networks and related artificial intelligence technologies.
EANN promotes the use of neural networks and associated techniques where significant benefits can be derived from their use. The conference is not only for reporting advances in techniques, but also for showing how neural networks provide practical solutions in a wide range of applications. Novel, innovative applications and methods are particularly appreciated.
The conference attracts between 50 and 100 engineers, researchers, academics and managers from universities, research centres and industry. Papers are presented orally and not more than 2 sessions are held simultaneously in order to offer a real forum for discussion. Submissions are welcome from all fields of informatics and engineering and some special sessions, dedicated to these different fields, are organised.
Both theoretical and practical work should be submitted, but the authors are encouraged to focus their paper on the presentation of an application featuring experimental results on real world data. There will be an exhibition of software and products from researchers and companies, and submissions of proposals for exhibits are welcome.
The event will be hosted in the beautiful and exotic Greek peninsula of "Sithonia" in the area of Halkidiki with the crystal blue sea waters and the fantastic beaches. Less than an hour from the International airport of Thessaloniki it is a green paradise of pine tree forests and gorgeous beaches with 5 start luxurious Hotels. There will be three FREE buses waiting for the participants in the airport of Thessaloniki to transfer them to the venue, during the first day.
The conference will be held in the premises of the famous 5 star ATHINA PALLAS VILLAGE Hotel http://www.athena-pallas.gr which are located 9 Km from Marmaras village of Sithonia Peninsula in Halkidiki.
Authors are invited to submit electronically original, English-language research contributions or experience reports not concurrently submitted elsewhere. Papers should be no longer than 10 pages formatted according to the well known LNCS Springer style. The program committee may reject papers that exceed this length on the grounds of length alone. In the spirit of the previous EANN conferences, the paper should concentrate on the application rather than just the algorithm or the theory.
Submitted papers will be refereed by at least three reviewers for quality, correctness, originality, and relevance. Notification and reviews will be communicated via email. Accepted papers will be presented at the conference and included in the proceedings, which will be published by SPRINGER and they will be available on site. It is important though to follow the instructions in this page to ensure that your paper will be included in the proceedings.
Proposals for Workshops that examine emerging, innovative, or otherwise provocative issues within the conference area are encouraged as well. Workshop proposals should include a 1-2 page summary of the topic and the names and affiliations of 3-4 panelists who have made a commitment to participate. A mix of industry and academic panel members is recommended.
Please submit your Workshop proposals at http://goo.gl/bAvl5
Proposals for 90-minute tutorials are also invited on topics within the conference area. Tutorial proposals must be at most 5 pages, they must identify the intended audience, and they must give enough material to provide a sense of what will be covered.
A fully electronic review process is being planned. Technical papers, panel and tutorial proposals should be submitted electronically. In particular, before submitting a paper (in pdf, postscript or MS Word), an author should submit an abstract (in order to get a paper id and a password), whereas panel and tutorial proposals should be sent by email to the PC chair.
A paper may not be included in the proceedings if the requirements are not met, or if the registration fee is not received by the deadline of the submission of the camera-ready. Based on the reviewers' comments and on the presentation, and after a second peer review process, a number of selected papers will be published in a special issue of a scientific Journal with high Impact Factor.
