Over its 20-year history, IATA’s AVSEC World has established itself as the leading global conference for exchanging cutting-edge ideas in commercial aviation security attended by high-level decision makers and thought leaders from airlines, airports, governments, academic organizations, security agencies, manufacturers and suppliers, customs and immigration authorities as well as senior police and law enforcement personnel.
In 2012, AVSEC World is calling for papers from academics and security leaders related to the innovative ideas for next generation passenger screening. IATA is looking for innovative ideas in the following areas:
The role of biometrics
Exploiting future technologies
Balancing effective security with an improved passenger experience
Security, privacy and human rights
Human factors in security screening
Checkpoint configuration
Passenger throughput
Automation
What we are looking for in a paper
Authors are invited to present papers based solely on their own innovative ideas. By definition, these papers must not reference, or in any way make use of pre-existing ideas, research or academic studies.
Alternatively, authors may present ideas that build-upon pre-existing research, academic studies, laboratory testing etc. Where this option is chosen, authors must explicitly recognize pre-existing materials used and respect intellectual property right laws, at all times.
The author of the best paper will receive
