The purpose of IDCE is to unite Public and Private Sector Professionals from around the world for discussions regarding policy, lessons learned, best practices, and forward thinking. As such, the IDCE Conference Program is the critical component to ensuring IDCE reaches goals and achieves objectives.
1700 Industry Professionals attended the inaugural event in 2012. This number is expected to double in 2013. Public Sector attendees included over 1,000 government policy decision makers from over 27 countries, as well as leadership from Federal, State and Municipal Emergency Management / Homeland Security offices. Private Sector attendees included over 600 professionals representing the support throughout the entire disaster cycle: Preparation, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation.
Public Sector attendees for 2013 are expected to represent over 1,600 government policy decision makers from over numerous countries, as well as leadership from Federal, State and Municipal Emergency Management / Homeland Security offices. Private Sector attendees are expected to represent 1,400 professionals representing the support throughout the entire disaster cycle: Preparation, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation.
The industry disciplines IDCE2013 will focus on include: Cyber Security, Resilience, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Global Threats and Crises Management, Social Media / Communications, and Economic Stability / Recovery. As with IDCE2012, additional topics will be covered in numerous panel discussions and breakouts. ALL sessions will be presented with a focus on POLICY and Leadership, based upon the principals of public-private partnerships and the utilization of private sector resources in public sector best practices.
