Introduction and Scope
ONE-DAY International Conference on Disaster Management (ICDM '12) will be held ONLINE.ICDM '12 will be technically co-sponsored by MASAUM Network.
All the activities of the conference will take place Online.
Today’s societies are faced with numerous interconnected, complex and emerging risks. Environmental, technical, social and economic risks are often closely linked and can result in successive impact. For example, in the past few years, earthquakes in Pakistan, Japan, floods in Pakistan and disastrous tsunami, creating many problems and disasters. Risks and disasters explored at the ICDM include, amongst others, natural hazards, failures of critical infrastructure and services, pandemics, acts of terrorism and financial crises. All can severely impact and influence human beings and collective societies.
ONE-DAY International Conference on Disaster Management (ICDM'12) is a one-day conference aiming to provide a forum for risk management experts, practitioners, scientists, key players from civil society, Non-Governmental Organisations, the private sector. Professionals, researchers, engineers, students to debate current international issues and challenges in the broad area of disaster management. This is an Online Conference, which merely takes place online, allowing you to save accommodation and flight expenses.
The event will bring together risk management experts, practitioners, scientists, key players from civil society, Non-Governmental Organisations,the private sector.professionals, researchers, engineers, students interested in disaster management and other sister disciplines .
Disaster Management and Applications are research areas of much importance .These include several areas of theoretical and practical importance. Therefore, we look forward to receive research work and applications on innovative aspects of several areas related to disaster management.
Conference Format
ICDM'12 enjoys desktop sharing technology, which means while presentations are delivered, participants will have the ability to watch the presenter power point file, hear the presenter and even ask questions via text and voice. To sum up, all you need to participate in this prestigious Conference program is a normal PC/laptop with a reliable Internet connection, a microphone and a speaker. Conference participation instructions will be shared with registered participants soon.

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings published by MASAUM Network. Proceedings of ICDM '12 will be published in CD format and enhanced versions of all the papers will be published as chapters of e-book.
