ICADME 2012 - INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON APPLICATIONS AND DESIGN IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING 2012

Objectives
This International Conference on Applications and Design in Mechanical Engineering (ICADME 2012) aims to provide a platform for participants from diverse field of Mechanical Engineering backgrounds to exchange ideas and findings to promote cooperation, networking as well as knowledge sharing in both engineering practice and research in higher education. The theme “Innovation and Evolution in Mechanical Engineering” hopes to explore new ideas in Mechanical Engineering in the 21st Century.
In the face of challenges in the next generation, there are currently unified global efforts to transform engineering knowledge to produce engineers of the future. As part of this effort, ICADME 2012 aims to gather engineering practices, educators and stakeholders, to disseminate knowledge and discuss innovative solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of engineering applications.

Furthermore research in mechanical engineering has played a vital role in providing a platform for young researchers for mutual exchange of knowledge towards improving the academic, scientific and research programs. ICADME 2012 aims to bring academics together to share and exchange perspectives and ideas on matters related to research in higher education. Manuscripts having focus on theory, applications, design and/or experimental studies relevant to the conference theme are invited. Other related themes include, but not limited to:

Applied Mechanics and Design
Solid and Fracture Mechanics, Machinery Dynamics, Condition monitoring, Machine Design, Concurrent Engineering, Finite element analysis, Noise and Vibration analysis, Computer aided engineering design, Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping, Tribology and Reverse Engineering.

Energy and Thermofluids
Energy conversion system, Renewable energy, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Heat exchangers, Refrigeration and air conditioning, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Alternative energy, Internal combustion engines.

Submission of Papers
The working knowledge of the conference is English. Prospective authors are invited to submit their original unpublished work through TrackChair not later than AUGUST 15, 2011. The full paper should be in pdf format not exceeding 6 pages, typed on one side of A4 size paper in Times Roman of 10 point as per IEEE double column format. Further details about the paper format can be obtained from the conference home page http://icadme.unimap.edu.my. Double blind review will be followed in the review process. Please do not provide any identifiable information about the authors in the paper during the submission to the TrackChair. The authors are requested to follow the steps below while submitting the paper:
(1) Sign-up with http://icadme2012.trackchair.com and get the TrackChair log-in ID and password.
(2) Submit the full paper in pdf format through the TrackChair without specifying any information about the authors’ names and affiliations and get the 8-digit TrackChair paper ID.
(3) After submitting the full paper through the TrackChair, kindly submit one page information containing the title of the paper, authors’ names and affiliations, email, phone and FAX numbers of the corresponding author and the TrackChair paper ID to icadme-AT-unimap.edu.my OR icadme2012-AT-gmail.com .

Extended version of some of the selected papers may be considered for publication in the following International Journals after being further reviewed by their own committees.

Paper Acceptance
Each accepted paper must be presented by one of the authors after paying the necessary registration fee. Only one paper will be allowed to be presented for each registration. All papers will be blind reviewed by two reviewers.
