WebMedia 2011 - WebMedia 2011 : XVII Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web

You are kindly invited to attend WebMedia 2011 to be held in Florianópolis/SC - Brazil from October 03 to 06. The Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) annually promotes several national symposia in diverse computer science fields. Since its first edition, in 1995, WebMedia has become the most important Brazilian forum for researchers and professionals in the areas of Multimedia, Hypermedia and the Web.
In 2011, in its seventeenth edition, WebMedia is being organized in conjunction with the Brazilian Symposium on Database (SBBD 2008).
WebMedia will host the following events:
Workshop on Tools and Applications;
Workshop on Ongoing Thesis and Dissertations;
Workshop on Undergraduate Research;
Tutorials;
Short Courses.
The event’s current organization is under the responsibility of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).
Full and Short Paper Submissions
Authors are invited to submit papers which will be evaluated in terms of: originality, technical content and accuracy, significance of the work, presentation (organization, style and clarity), and appropriateness of references to papers presented in earlier editions of the event. All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format and comply with the ACM format (described at http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html). Authors must make use of the EASYCHAIR System for all submissions (Submission page: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=webmed...). Papers can be written in either English or Portuguese. One author per paper is required to register and attend the conference to present the paper if accepted for publication. The accepted papers will be published by ACM(1) (http://portal.acm.org/event.cfm?id=RE446). Full-Papers (between six and eight pages) should report on substantial research supported by complete results.
ShortPapers (4 pages) should describe ongoing work and contain partial results.
