the Convergence of Telecommunications, Networking and Broadcasting (PGNet2011)

The annual Post Graduate Network Symposium (PGNet) is in its twelfth year. The symposium is a forum for postgraduate research students to present and converse their research, alongside guest speakers from industry and academia.
We invite authors to submit papers addressing advances in technological issues associated with, but not limited to, the following areas:

? Mobile, Wireless, Ad Hoc and Sensor Networks
? Vehicular Communications
? Home and Building Networking
? Networked Appliances
? Communication Protocols
? Modelling and Simulation of Broadband Networks
? Network Interconnectivity/Internetworking
? Compression Techniques
? Encryption and Encoding
? Multimedia Content
? Information Theory and Coding
? Operating System Support
? Data Storage
? Resource Allocation Techniques
? System Prototypes
? Voice over IP
? Interactive TV
? Content Delivery
? Video on Demand Systems

? Interactive Web

? Traffic Modelling and Characterisation

Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, which will be available to all participants. Prospective authors are invited to submit full length papers (not exceeding 6 sides of A4) by Monday 11th April 2011. Papers should conform to the IEEE format and will be handled and processed electronically via the EDAS online submission system. Submission of camera-ready papers May 16th, 2011
Author online registration May 16th, 2011
Costs: The Registration Fee is £140 and includes a copy of the proceedings; lunches; refreshments; and the conference dinner and tours. Accommodation is not included but we have negotiated special rates with hotels and details will be available on the PGNet2011 website.
