SUNDAY KEYNOTES ANNOUNCED
LAS VEGAS (March 14, 2011) _ The Young Professionals in Energy International Summit has announced new speakers for its international conference, to be held April 8-10, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Tropicana Hotel.
The Sunday, April 10 keynote speaker at the YPE Summit is Tanya Bryja, Energy and Technology Advisor of Exxon Mobil Corporation. Ms. Bryja will be discussing how energy is critical to economic growth, development and social welfare.
Also speaking on April 10 is Paul Dickerson, former COO U.S. Dept. of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and a partner in the Haynes & Boone law firm’s Cleantech Practice Group.
They join previously-announced Ray Dempsey, Jr., Vice President of Government & Public Affairs for BP America, Inc. Mr. Dempsey will keynote the main education portion of the event on Saturday, April 9 with an address titled “Meeting Our Challenges: BP and the Future of Energy.”
The conference will also feature panel discussions around alternative energy resources, utility and smart grid issues, and electric vehicles. Executives from Nissan, Shell, Southern California Edison, the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), GM and more have been confirmed for the first round of speakers.
