2011 - The Workshop on Mobility Data Management & Mining in Assistive Environments
Topics/Call fo Papers
The Workshop on
Mobility Data Management & Mining in Assistive Environments
Workshop Theme and Goals
Latest developments in mobile data management and mining have posed new challenges not only in the discovery and interpretation of interesting actionable patterns, but also in their application in the health care domain and more specifically in assistive environments. However, new data management and mining techniques for mobile data in assistive environments have not been studied in a systematic and combinatorial way. The convergence of these complementary aspects, and more specifically, the way that mobile technological advancements affect (or improve) the behavior of elderly individuals and their mobility in assistive environments, emerges an exciting area with a number of new challenging applications.
The Mob-AE workshop brings together researchers investigating answers to the above questions by seeking novel methods and applications that reveal hidden interrelations between these aspects.
Topics of Interest
We are interested in original papers and case studies describing advances in all areas of Mobile Data Management & Mining in Assistive Environments, including but not limited to:
Mining sensor data for assistive environments
Mobile data management techniques for healthcare information systems
Data workflow in assistive environments
Data mining for assistive environments
Data mining applications for decision making
Movement pattern extraction in assistive environments
Context-aware machine learning and data mining techniques in mobile devices
Visual analytics in (mobile) assistive environments
Location Based Services in assistive environments
Indoor location acquisition techniques
Real time monitoring in mobile GIS
Privacy preserving methods for mobile data
