As an globle energy consumption country, China consumes much energy every year with the goal of reducing 40 percent to 45 percent carbon emission. Except that the exploitable installed capacity and annual energy output of hydropower are both the first in the world, many kinds of renewable energy such as solar energy, wind energy and bioenergy are also abundant. According to the Chinese mid-and-long term energy planning, the energy need of economic development and peoples’ live improvement could be met relying on the regular energy before 2020. The total number of renewable energy usage amounts to 6 hundred millions standard coal. The renewable energy will paly a more important role in adjusting the Chinese energy structure, reducing the green house gas emission and protecting the ecological environment.
2011 International Conference on Materials for Renewable Energy& Environment was host by University of Shanghai for Science & Technology and China Energy Society, co-host by ATN during May 21-22, 2011. The number of attendants exceed 200 including many senior experts in energy at home and abroad. During the conference, the attendants discussed the international hotspots and difficult problems of the renewable energy development and environmental improvement materials. The conference improved the development of renewable energy and achieved complete success.
In view of this, China Energy Society decides to hold International Conference on Materials for Renewable Energy& Environment from May 20-23, 2012. China Energy Society will improve the service and provide a better mutual trusting and mutual benefiting exchange platform for the industry based on the success of 2011 International Conference on Materials for Renewable Energy& Environment.
