AROB 2012 - Seventeenth International Symposium on Artificial Life and Robotics

The AROB was founded in 1996 under the support of Science and International Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japanese Government.
This symposium will bring together researchers to discuss development of new technologies concerning artificial life and robotics based on computer simulations and hardware designs of state-of-the-art technologies, and to share findings on how advancements in artificial life and robotics technologies that relate to artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and computer science are creating the basis for exciting new research and applications in various fields listed in the following Topics.

and also workshop, tutorial, and robotics exhibition will be held at the same time during the symposium (AROB 17th ’12). The workshop committee and robotics exhibition committee members will be announced soon.
Paper Submission
Submissions must be sent to us in an electronic form as PDF format from our website. Authors are invited to submit papers presenting original research. The length of submitted papers and abstracts must be at most 4 printed pages and from 400 to 600 words respectively. Poster presentation is available. The number of sheets at Poster Session is 2 at most. Submissions will be peer-reviewed at least 3 blind peer reviewers. General Sessions, Organized Sessions, and Poster Sessions are included in this symposium. All papers will be directed to the appropriate session.

September 15, 2011 :Notification of acceptance
October 1, 2011 :Author's kit except final camera-ready papers
October 15, 2011 :Final camera-ready papers
