Welcome to the 2019 International Workshop on Automation Technologies(WAT 2019) . WAT 2019 will be held in Singapore during Dec.05-07,2019.
This conference is aimed at providing a platform for all researchers and engineers to share ideas, highly developed skills and successful practices to others. The conference will be last for 3 days with the reception to be held on the first day to meet and mingle with conference chairs, session chairs and other participants.
We would like to invite you to join us in this important event and share your recently advance development and research finding in Automation Technologies to all attendees. Besides, it is also a good opportunity for you and your family to enjoy the culture and view in Singapore. We are looking forward to seeing you in WAT 2019.
●Publication and Indexing
All the accepted papers will be published in the volume of Conference proceeding, which will be indexed by Ei Compendex, CPCI, Scopus, IET and other academical databases.
Selected papers with great extension will be recommended to publish in international journals.
●Speaker
1.Prof. Qianchuan Zhao, Tsinghua University, China
His primary research interests include security analysis and performance optimization of networked dynamic systems, especially in green ICT technology, building energy saving and smart grid.He served as the editorial board of many domestic and foreign academic journals, including the Journal of IEEE Automation Science and Engineering and the Journal of Automation Chemistry. He was a senior member of IEEE. He was selected into the Supporting Plan for Excellent Talents in the New Century by the Ministry of Education, and was later subsidized by the National Outstanding Youth Fund.
2.Prof. Wang Peng, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
He joined as an assistant professor in the School of EEE at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 1999 where he is currently an associate professor.His research areas include: Power system analysis, planning and operation; Power system reliability analysis; Power restructuring and power market; Intellegent metering system and load managment;Smart grids; Micro Grids; Renewable energy planning; Renewable energy conversion systems.
3.Dr. Yan Xu, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Dr. Xu's research interests include power system stability, control and optimization, data analysis for microgrids and smart grid applications.He has published 105 sci indexed international journal papers (65 IEEE journals and 23 IET journals).He has also written more than 50 international conference papers and chapters in two books.He has won the IEEE and IET paper contest and the best paper award of the conference for 7 times.Dr Hsu is a senior member of IEEE and is the IEEE smart grid affairs editor.
4.Prof. Tek-Tjing Lie Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand
Professor Tek Tjing Lie is Deputy Head of School (Research) of the School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Auckland University of Technology (AUT). He received his BS degree from the Oklahoma State University, MS and PhD degrees from Michigan State University. He has previously held an academic position in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests are in the fields of Power System Operation and Control, AI Applications to Power Systems, Deregulated Electrical Power Markets, Renewable Energy and Smart Grids.
5.Prof. Vassilios G. Agelidis Technical University of Denmark,Denmark
He was the Vice-President Operations within the IEEE Power Electronics Society from 2006 to 2007. He was the Technical Chair of the 39th IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, Rhodes, Greece, 2008. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and the IET (UK).
6.Dr. Dimitrios I. Doukas NET2GRID B.V.Netherlands
Dr Doukas received an ABB Research Grant (2013-2017, worth US$240k) and the IEEE’s Council on Superconductivity Grant for three consecutive years (2016, 2017, 2018). He was also awarded the teaching excellence award (2015) for teaching the "Power Systems Transmission" course.He is a member of IEEE and IET, a chartered electrical engineer in Greece and an active member of the Greek Energy Forum. He was a member of the executive board of the European Youth Parliament in Greece and a steering group member of the “Power Shifts – Reflecting Europe’s Energy” project.
