After decades of generous promises and often frustrating disappointment, artificial intelligence (AI) is finally starting to deliver real-life benefits, and early adopters in business and industry in different sectors are embracing its promise of AI reaping valuable benefits. We're witnessing a promising trend. To lay a better foundation for the future - to make the connected, smartening world more smarter and embrace AI for good and for the benefit of society, information about recent and ongoing progress and new innovative applications, as well as challenges and lessons learned need to be shared and discussed. This will facilitate this targeted information challenge. It will cover several elements of AI with specific reference to applications in practice and the socio-technical challenges, provide an overview of the current status of AI in practice, and examine AI's potential now and in the near future.
Scope of the Workshop
This workshop will provide an interactive forum for discussion on recent and ongoing developments, key issues and challenges, and practices related to AI applications. It will also provide a platform to demonstrate applications and software tools, and present case studies and application experience. Researchers and practitioners from all over the world, from academia, industry, and government are invited to participate in the workshop. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
