Authors' Deadlines:
January 15, 2009: Abstract and digest of proposed papers from authors received by the Technical Committee Program Chairs. Full manuscripts received by the Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Department.
March 31, 2009: Notification to authors of acceptance or rejection from the Technical Committee Program Chairs.
June 1, 2009: Manuscripts of accepted papers, formatted for publication in the Conference Record, submitted to Manuscript Central, together with completion of the IEEE electronic copyright transfer.
General Abstract & Digest Requirements:
Abstract: One page of fifty to one hundred words with fully headed paper title, names of all authors, area of interest, and name and address of the corresponding author, including phone, fax, and e-mail address.
Digest: Up to four pages, including key equations, figures, and tables, headed by the paper title only. The digest must state: purpose of work, manner in which it advances engineering and/or science, and specific results and their significance in sufficient detail for undergoing a review process.
Electronic submissions only (Adobe Postscript (.pdf) or Microsoft Word (.doc)). As the digest is used for anonymous reviews, the digest should not include the authors' names, and the abstract and digest must be submitted as two separate files.
Each paper that is scheduled for presentation must be accompanied by a qualified paid registration. In general, student registrations are not considered qualified registrations. Also, each qualifying registration may be associated with at most two papers. Once presented, papers are eligible for review and publication in the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications or IEEE Industry Applications Magazine.
Please note that not all IAS Technical Committees have sessions at the IAS Annual Meeting. If a committee contact is not given in this call for papers, please contact the appropriate IAS Technical Committee or Department Chair.
