PES 2010 - IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition 2010
Topics/Call fo Papers
IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution Conference and Exposition 2010
Technical Program
The conference and exposition will bring together power-delivery professionals with many different areas of specialization, including transmission and distribution planning, protection and control, substation engineering, distribution automation, communications, renewable energy, operations, and maintenance. Combined with tutorials, opening, and super sessions, this conference promises to be the most comprehensive of its kind!
The theme of the conference is Powering Toward the Future. The technical program is designed to examine the impact of technical and business solutions, and the methods and procedures for operating and maintaining power-delivery systems at peak levels as we power toward the future. Furthermore, the goal of the conference is to provide attendees with information on practical solution-oriented topics, including case studies and lessons learned. Super sessions will be held on topics of special interest in the power industry, while the rest of the technical program will include sessions focusing on the conference theme in the following main topic areas:
• Transmission and distribution system planning and implementation
• Integration of wind generation and other renewables
• Energy storage
• Reliability
• Distributed generation
• Safety, maintenance, and operation
• Disaster/emergency response
• Power engineering education
• Dynamic performance of transmission systems
• FACTS and HVDC
• Power quality
• Protective relaying
• Transformers, circuit breakers, cables, insulators, switchgear, fuses, towers, poles, and conductors
• Electric machines and drives in distribution systems
• Cyber security
• Substation and distribution automation
• Application software for power systems
Technical paper submittal closed on September 14, 2009.
