International Conference on Boundary Element Techniques
22-24 July 2009
Athens, Greece

http://beteq.engineeringconferences.net/index.php

Following the success of previous BETEQ meetings held in Seville, Spain (2008), Naples, Italy (2007), Paris, France (2006), Montreal, Canada (2005), Lisbon, Portugal (2004), Granada, Spain (2003), Beijing, China (2002), New Jersey, USA (2001) and London, UK (1999), it was decided to hold the 10th annual meeting of the boundary element techniques in Athens, Greece.

The conference series has the support of the leading experts in the field of Boundary Element Methods and has rapidly become a leading computational mechanics forum for presentation of latest research in the field.

One of the aims of the conference series has been to encourage research in boundary elements and to facilitate this aim conference proceedings for 2003-2007 meetings are made available to individual researchers (not libraries) world wide (the offer includes only the electronic version). The proceedings for the 2008 meeting will be made available for electronic downloads shortly.

The aim of the conference is to promote further international co-operation between Scientist and Engineers from different disciplines involved in the study and development of the Boundary Element Techniques. The Boundary Element Method (BEM) also known as the Boundary Integral Equation Method (BIEM) has in recent years become an established method of solution in several important areas of engineering such as fracture mechanics, acoustics and solid dynamics among others. However, there are still many areas where the method needs to be developed further. The participants are encouraged to explore new formulations and ideas for a wide range of applications as well as report on advances made on the numerical implementation of the method. The application of the method to practical problems is very much encouraged. The conference will cover all aspects of the boundary integral methods.
