10th International Conference on Telecommunications
Zagreb, Croatia, June 8-10, 2009
The 10th International Conference on Telecommunications, ConTEL 2009, will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, from June 8¨C10, 2009. Through its technical program, the conference will provide an opportunity for the academic and industrial community to address new research challenges, share solutions and discuss issues in information and communication technology (ICT) referring to modern telecommunications.
ConTEL 2009 will also include a Doctoral Symposium, as an event where PhD students can share their research results and experiences with other students at a similar stage in their work, and get constructive criticism and helpful feedback from established researchers. The prospective participants should have initial results in the specific dissertation research topic, and have enough time ¨C at least a year or so ahead ¨C from completion of their dissertation at the time of the Symposium to get the most benefit from participation.
Zagreb is a charming city offering a pleasant mix of Western European business style and Mediterranean informality. A home to about one million people and a host to many cultural and sporting events, Zagreb and its surroundings offer something for everyone: romantic Upper Town, daily hustle and bustle of cafes, restaurants, and stores in its Downtown, nature lover's Medvednica mountain, and medieval castles in the rolling hills and vineyards of Hrvatsko zagorje. Further on, the beautiful Istria and the coast and islands of northern Adriatic, as well as the exceptional Plitvice Lakes National Park, are just a few hours' drive away.
