The International Digital Media Arts Association (iDMAa) is pleased to announce its fifteenth annual conference, taking place at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), Washington DC on October 6th and 7th, 2017. UDC is located in the heart of Washington, DC and is easily accessible by Metro. (http://www.udc.edu). This year's conference is a joint partnership between UDC and American University.
REGISTRATION FOR THE CONFERENCE IS NOW OPEN!
As the digital age expands opportunities for expression and reception in the arts, the reality is that the noise and clutter that comes with threatens to drown out, and in some cases suppress, important voices. How can we as digital artists act to ensure those voices, those messages, those opportunities do not get lost, or pushed aside across the larger global media and arts canvas? How can we reflect or include issues of diversity and inclusivity in our own work, and insure that the works of others receive the attention they deserve?
iDEAS CALL FOR ART - NOW OPEN! This year, we also seek to explore the questions outlines above, and those that emerge from the possible answers, though our 2017 iDEAS exhibition, taking place on October 7 and 8, 2017. For artist interested in applying go to Call for Art-iDEAS 2017.
iDMAa seeks proposals for paper presentations and panels centering on this year’s conference theme. Please click on Call for Papers/Panels if you are interested in participating. Abstracts will be due on July 15, 2017. Authors will be notified via email of their submission’s status by July 31.
