The Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, an institution of excellence of Higher Education in Cuba is one of the leaders in the use and application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The rapid development of ICT has led to a change in the formats and ways in which information is sought, retrieved, processed and used. The purpuse of ICIP 2017 is to disseminate the main scientific results achieved in the fields of information technologies, data analysis and processing and the implementation of digital resources as well as the impact of ICT in the computerization of society at a global level. The event includes exhibitions of tutorials, specialized conferences and presentations of papers.
