IEEE EFSOI 2010 - Travel Grant Information - The 4th IEEE Workshop on Enabling the Future Service-Oriented Internet: Towards Socially-Aware Networks

Eligibility
US-based Graduate Students and Post-Doctoral Researchers w/ proof of status.
Selection Process
The recipients of the travel awards will be decided by the IEEE EFSOI 2010 Student Travel Grant Selection Committee, which consists of the Workshop’s co-Chairs and the members of the Organizing Committee.
Travel Grant Applications
An application for a travel award will consist of:
1. A letter from the participant (required contents are discussed below),
2. The participant’s CV, and
3. In case of a graduate student, a supporting letter from the student's graduate advisor.
The letter from interested participants should include:
1. A brief summary of research interests and accomplishments to date,
2. A description of areas reflected in the IEEE EFSOI 2010 program that would impact their
research,
3. If the student has a paper or poster accepted in IEEE EFSOI 2010, the participant
should include the paper or poster's title
4. A statement about why conference attendance is important.
The advisor's recommendation letter to the committee should include:
1. Confirmation that the student is a bona-fide Ph.D. candidate in good standing at an
accredited institution in the United States,
2. The suitability of the IEEE EFSOI 2010 program material to the student's research area,
3. Ways this particular student would benefit from attendance at the conference, and
4. The strengths and potential contributions of the student.
A deadline of October 15, 2010 will be set for the receipt of applications. The applications will be handled through EDAS ? submit your application material at http://edas.info/G.php?g=199
Recipients will be notified by October 22, 2010, and are required to accept the award by October 29, 2010 so that alternates can be notified in the event that a recipient declines.
Women and minorities are particularly encouraged to apply, as they will be given preference when other qualifications are similar.
