■講演タイトル
Changes in telecommunications and biz paradigms in this decade
■講演アブストラクト
The talk will present the expected technology evolution in this
decade and considers what are the implications on market demands and
the following investment strategies that in turn will steer the
evolution of the network.
Among the technology roadmaps presented: storage, processing,
sensors, displays, data analyses, massive distributed systems
(autonomics, swarms).
The Information Society will become a reality, in most parts of the
world and the talk will show that the Information Society we are
about to enter is quite different from the Information Society we
have been talking about in the last decade. The talk will also point
out 15 major disruptions that are reshaping the Telecommunications
Business.
Practical examples of changes in the business environment will be
presented, leveraging on the research being carried out at the Future
Centre in Venice.
In particular the projects Marco Polo 2.0 (tourism in the era of
ecosystems), the Future of Retail and the Future of Learning will be
presented.
