SUMMARY
This workshop aims to discuss the application of social computing to Digital Health and public health services. This field of research aims to bring together interactive social intelligence to eHealth systems by combining information from multiple users and groups, along with context information and social interaction to promote innovative methods of health system and monitoring. This workshop seeks to basic premise of this workshop is to think of multidisciplinary and investigative approaches involving:
- Technologies and solutions to integrate social elements in Digital Health
- Novel Data Mining and Machine Learning for Social Intelligence in Digital Health
- Social Modelling and Simulation to investigate network formation and influence processes that may public health and health environment
- Ambient intelligence, smart environments and interactive systems
- Analysis of social media and media intelligence in health related topics
- The utilization of mobile and wearable technology in social systems for Digital Health, public health, and health monitoring
The workshop is interested in attracting industrial research and academic groups conducting practical research around extended models of Computational Intelligence, Computational Social Sciences, Intelligent Information Retrieval, Social Simulation, Human-Computing Interaction, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning and others applied to the field of Digital Health, public health, and health monitoring.
Accepted and duly presented papers will be published in the IEEE Healthcom’16 Conference Proceedings and indexed in IEEE Xplore (http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/), the IEEE digital repository.
SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION
Submission is done electronically at Easychair. Papers have to follow IEEE format requirements and have to be written in English. Please, submit title, abstract and PDF file through:

We seeks four types of submissions:
Full paper of 8-12 pages.
Short paper of 4 pages, such as position and early result papers.
Demo paper of 4 pages describing a demonstration.
Submissions will be peer-reviewed by, at least, two reviewers per paper. Selection criteria will include relevance, significance, impact, originality, technical soundness, and quality of presentation. Some preference may also be given to papers which address emergent trends or important common themes, or which enhance balance of workshop topics.
