ABOUT LATINCOM 2016
The 8th Latin-American Conference on Communications (LATINCOM 2016) will
be held in Medellin at the UPB (Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana),
Colombia on 16th 18th November 2016. The IEEE LATINCOM is the premier
ComSoc organized in Latin America. It has attracted authors and
attendees from the four corners of the world since its first editions.
This event will be an excellent opportunity to join together
researchers, professors, students and the industry. Accepted papers will
be published in IEEE Xplore and besides a selection of the best papers
will be published in the IEEE Latin America Transactions (an ISI indexed
journal).
Medellin has the unique contrast of a vital and rapidly developing
metropolis and vibrant nature, with spring like weather and an excellent
tourism platform for congress, conferences, and general events. Between
tradition and transformation it becomes a center for big business under
innovation and entrepreneurship schemes. The city offers competitive
costs and wellness, providing visitors with the best places for
interaction of academic, professional, commercial, cultural, artistic,
and social activities. Medellin was awarded the 2013 "Innovative City of
the Year Award" in a contest run by the Wall Street Journal Magazine and
the Urban Land Institute (ULI) for its implementation of sustainable
innovation and a unique budgeting system.
