PPF 2016 - 2016 Psychedelic Psychotherapy Forum
Topics/Call fo Papers
This year’s forum is being scheduled for Oct 14 ? 15, 2016, with post-forum workshops on Oct 16. We are pleased to announce that Rick Doblin, Founder and Executive Director of MAPS, has confirmed as our keynote speaker. This website will be updated shortly with confirmed featured presenters for this year’s forum. Please stay tuned!
Thank you to all the participants, presenters, and volunteers who joined us in beautiful Victoria, on Vancouver Island, BC, Oct 2 ? 3, 2015, to converse and connect about the therapeutic and healing properties of psychedelic substances.
After nearly forty years of prohibition, a new wave of research has emerged in the past decade exploring the efficacy of psychedelic substances (LSD, Ibogaine, Ayahuasca, MDMA, Psilocybin, and Cannabis) in the treatment of addictions, trauma, PTSD, end of life anxiety, and depression.
This groundbreaking forum has provided opportunities to engage with researchers, academics, and therapists from a variety of disciplines whose interest in this field is changing the face of psychotherapy. We are learning how current research in academic and scientific fields is opening new and exciting pathways for therapists to follow, offering new hope to patients. How is this rapidly changing landscape impacting government institutions and professional organizations?
The 2015 (2nd annual) Psychedelic Psychotherapy Forum, preceded by the first annual forum in June 2014, also held in Vancouver Island, BC, and organized by Integral Counselling BC.
The 2015 Psychedelic Psychotherapy Forum was supported by MAPS Canada (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies), California Institute of Integral Studies, and Float House Victoria.
