Overview:
At some point or another we have all felt overwhelmed by the number of tasks and commitments we have in front of us. We can't effectively set priorities given all we have to do and the numerous interruptions throughout our day. At day's end we feel exhausted and question whether we have accomplished anything. We may be uncomfortable with delegating to others, or feel that we just have to do it all ourselves. We may not understand how to effectively delegate, utilizing the skills of others on our team.
Time management and delegation are essential skills. When we learn how to effectively manage our time and learn how to effectively delegate to others, we are better at getting more work done in less time and much more efficiently. We don't feel overwhelmed and have a sense of accomplishment at the end of each day. Those who learn time management and delegation techniques are better able to control their environment and accomplish what must be done to meet their goals and the goals of the department, workgroup, or project they are leading.
In this webinar, participants learn best practices for delegating work and projects to staff along with managing their own time and that of their staff to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in meeting department/division or workgroup goals.
Why should you attend: The best managers do two things really well:
Delegating tasks and projects to staff to accomplish the work of the department/division and to enable for staff learning opportunities and skill development
Managing their time effectively by setting priorities and having a plan in place to ensure they do the right things at the right time
Both of these are skills that are necessary to manage staff and meet goals and objectives in a fast-paced environment where we are constantly under pressure to accomplish more in less time. The more pressure we are under, the more difficult it is to focus on developing these skills.
Without these skills, however, new managers, supervisors and team leaders simply cannot be effective in their roles and accomplish the objectives.
