ACTEA 2016 - Third International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications (ACTEA'16)
Topics/Call fo Papers
Third International Conference on Advances in Computational Tools for Engineering Applications (ACTEA'16), to be held in Beirut, Lebanon, on July 13-15, 2016. The details, including the Call for Papers, can be checked at: http://www.ndu.edu.lb/actea16/.
Description:
Computational tools are evolving rapidly as computers are being applied to a wide variety of engineering fields and disciplines. The benefits of using computer simulations in production and research are indisputable, and involve more efficient utilization of resources and its resulting cost saving. ACTEA'16 aims at bringing together researchers and engineers, and providing a common platform for all experts dealing with computational tools to advance the state of knowledge by sharing research results and pioneering views about recent trends and developments. ACTEA'16 is the third edition in a series that started in 2009 and is being technically sponsored by major societies (IEEE Region 8, IEEE Lebanon Section and ASEE Lebanon Branch).
Topics:
Engineering applications of interest include, but are not limited to
- Control & Automation: Control Systems, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Aided Manufacturing, Process Control, Engineering Optimization.
- Electrical & Computer Technologies: Electromagnetics, Microelectronics, Power Electronics, Power System Analysis, FPGA, Semiconductor and Optoelectronic Devices, Communication and Signal processing, Cloud Computing.
- Energy & Environment: Energy Technologies, Thermal and Fluid Sciences, Pollution, Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Urban Environment, Oil & Gas, Hydraulics and Hydrology.
- Engineering Systems: Geotechnical/Geophysical, Structural, Sustainability, Materials, Mechanics, Bioengineering, Mathematical Modeling, Project Management.
- Engineering Education: Software, Teaching/Learning Tools.
Important Deadlines:
- Submission of manuscripts (4-6 pages): January 15, 2016
- Notification of acceptance: April 15, 2016
- Deadline for submission of final paper: June 03, 2016
Location:
The conference will be held at Notre Dame University-Louaize in Zouk Mosbeh (10 km north of Beirut), Lebanon, a lovely place squeezed between the Mediterranean Sea and the cavernous Jeita Grotto which is one of the most impressive subterranean displays of stalactites and stalagmites of the planet. ACTEA'16 offers the opportunity to explore Lebanon with its legendary hospitality, natural and touristic sites, and its delicious food; it is indeed a unique place to visit. The area offers some of the best of Lebanon in hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, theaters, cinemas, art galleries, and sand beaches.
Additional Information:
- Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
- All papers must be submitted electronically through the conference website: http://www.ndu.edu.lb/actea16/. The works must be original and not published.
- At least one of the authors of an accepted paper must register in the conference and present the work.
- ACTEA'16 will be held in conjunction with the Third International Conference on Renewable Energy for Developing Countries, REDEC'16.
Previous editions of the ACTEA Conference Series may be checked using the website of the conference.
