IPCRA 2010 - 7th International Conference on Pain Control and Regional Anaesthesia (IPCRA)
Topics/Call fo Papers
On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite you to the 7th International Conference on Pain Control and Regional Anaesthesia (IPCRA), which will take place in Marrakech, Morocco, from 17th to 20th November 2010.
An international faculty will address current issues in the management of acute, chronic, and cancer pain, as well as regional anaesthesia and analgesia techniques for surgery and postoperative pain control in adults and children. International techniques in the management of chronic pain will also be covered.
This international symposium is intended for all anaesthesia providers and health care professionals interested in pain management and regional anaesthesia. The scientific programme will include refresher course lectures, symposia, panel discussions, hands on workshops and pro/con sessions. On-site poster sessions can be expected to introduce new research and stimulate creative discussions. Some of the world’s leading experts will discuss issues of pain medicine and regional anaesthesia and provide a forum to increase awareness of emerging trends and practice improvements.
Located in North Africa at the foot of the snow-capped Atlas mountains, Marrakech’s setting is truly magical. Its enchanted medieval walled city encloses a world barely changed in hundreds of years. The rich colours and aromas from the myriad of stalls located in the honeycomb of alleys coupled with the pageant of singers, tumblers, snake charmers and sorcerers make this city unlike any other.
Outside of the Medina you will be pleasantly surprised by the lush greenery and public gardens, containing hundreds of varieties and colours of roses, all nestled serenely amongst the hustle and bustle of the city.
New areas are being created between the Airport and the city (10 minutes in either direction), where visitors can relax in luxury hotels located in peaceful surroundings, whilst still only being minutes away from the heady sights and sounds of the old city.
Daytime temperatures during November average 20c.
This meeting is in keeping with our tradition of mixing state-of-the-art science with an outstanding social programme in an exotic location. I hope you will have an experience similar to the one in our highly successful recent meetings in Jaipur (India), Santiago (Chile), Cape Town (South Africa), Hong Kong and Havana (Cuba). I look forward to seeing you in Marrakech in November 2010 and to sharing what promises to be another unforgettable experience.
