Overview:
Are you confident that you interpret situations appropriately? Have you ever left a meeting or social event thinking, "I sure blew that"? If so, it's time to brush up on your Social IQ. Knowledge about what behaviors are appropriate in any social or mixing business and social setting boosts your confidence and helps you present yourself in a positive, professional way. Join the leading North American Civility Experts to learn how Boosting Your Social IQ can help you succeed at work.
Why should you attend: You only get one chance to make a first impression. In spite of your best efforts to do the right thing, a lack of Social IQ can result in you doing exactly the wrong thing. Increasingly sensitivity to diversity issues and awareness of how to respond appropriately with different people in different settings is an essential skill.
After completing this session, participants will be better able to:
Be more confident when reading verbal and nonverbal cues
Use Social IQ to send positive impressions
Be perceived as credible, confident, and competent based on respectful behavior
Exhibit civility and lead by example
Areas Covered in the Session:
The three elements of social intelligence and why each is important to your success on the job
How to assess your own Social IQ
How your social style can be adjusted for greater "fit" and how this can benefit you in your career
Why being "etiquette-wise" can help you avoid social and business blunders that can damage your reputation
How high social intelligence can help you navigate language, cultural, and generational barriers
Who Will Benefit:
Executives
Managers
Human Resource Professionals
Young Business People of All Ages
Anyone who Interacts in a Range of Social and Business Settings
Anyone who works in a Culturally Diverse Industry
