Special Issue on Innovation and Growth (June 2016)
In the last few decades, fast changes have taken place in the economic environment, especially after the practices of globalization and free trade have been accepted by the nations including the protected economies. The visible changes include increasing population of enlightened, informed and prosperous customers, fast pace of business, declining product lifecycle, enlarged scope of business where there is only a blurring line of demarcation between the goods and services, the upward shift in the ‘winning parameters’ of product quality, and the use of cross-functional process technologies. The combined impact comes out in the form of intense competition and changed perceptions of what constitute factors for competitive advantage. To meet the imperatives of survival and growth in the new economic environment, successful growth oriented companies are increasingly adopting ‘innovation’ as a vital component of their operations strategy. Innovation has been briefly referred to address issues in management of product and/or process technology, and technological change. Innovation and growth are getting increasingly interlinked.
The Journal invites business and management cases from live situations only with authentic information and data to cover either of the topics:
Suggested topics
‐ Product innovations
