The Editor and the Editorial Committee of South Asia Economic Journal (SAE) announce a call for papers for the forthcoming issues whose subject matter falls within the aims and scope of South Asia Economic Journal.
South Asia Economic Journal is a bi-annual peer-reviewed journal of the Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka and Research and Information System for Developing Countries. The journal aims at promoting cooperation among the countries comprising South Asia. It addresses the economic and social development issues faced by the South Asian region.
The journal particularly welcomes articles that discuss South Asia’s position on global economic issues, its relations with other regional groupings and its response to global developments. Contributions to interdisciplinary analysis on South Asia are also invited.
Topics for article submission in relation to South Asia are listed below:
? the implications of global economic trends;
? the issues and challenges by WTO;
? approaches to industrialization and development;
? the role of regional institutions such as the SAARC;
? the relationship between SAARC and other regional economic groupings such as ASEAN;
? the implications of economic liberalization for trade and investment in the region; and
? the new initiatives that can be launched to enhance economic cooperation among the South Asian countries both on a bilateral and a regional basis.
In line with its aims, South Asia Economic Journal welcomes contributions not only from academics and researchers but also from policy-makers and officials, from both private and public sectors.
