Session Organizers:
Dong-Chul Park (Myongji University, Korea)
Soo-Young Min (Korea Electronics Technology Institute, Korea)
In the last decade, major developments on information systems for vehicular technology have been witnessed. These new developments have led to an enormous increase in competitiveness among companies and new technology is needed to capitalize on the information systems. Hardware configuration as well as algorithm development for a certain communication topology such as the synchronous Ethernet communication become a vital technology for vehicles equipped with various electronic equipment including cameras and different sensors. This research trend includes the development of real time control and communication for over 100Mbps traffic data with flexible configuration of network topologies among different manufactures. This research also requires the development of intelligent safety information system for vehicle and drivers. The aim of this special session is to bring together individuals from academia, industry and government to discuss and exchange ideas in the fields of mobile, wireless and vehicular technology as well as the applications and services associated with such technology. Features include regular research track and industrial track. In industrial track, up-to-date development reports and work-in-progress papers from industry are invited.
Topics of Interests, but not limited:
PHY/MAC layer protocol for vehicle communication
Integrated gateway based on 1 Gbps Synchronous Ethernet
Intelligent safety system with Around View Monitoring
Intelligent pedestrian identification and classification system
Error detection and correction technology
IV/OV network system
Multi-channel imaging system communication and pedestrian safety system
Multi-sensor data integration
