Special Session 2015 - Special Session " Signal Processing Methods for Mechanical System Identification and Diagnosis" within the 19th International Conference on Circuits, Systems, Communications and Computers (CSCC 2015)

Aim:
Structural Health Monitoring SHM or continuous on-line monitoring of structural integrity is today a relevant topic in many engineering fields as industrial applications, automotive, aerospace, and large civil structures. The current inspection techniques can be, in fact, progressively replaced with new more advanced health monitoring systems. Nowdays advanced signal processing tools and algorithms make these techniques more and more effordable than in the past and open new perspective for this specific research field. This special session means to represent an opportunity for scientist involved in this field to share latest results of their researchs and to present the opportunities of these approaches to a new concept of predictive maintenance.
