2016 will be held in the historical city of Oxford in the UK. It will be the 13th conference in the X-Ray Microscopy series which began in 1983.
Bringing together experts in the development and use of X-ray microscopes, the conference will address the most recent advances in X-Ray microscopy and its applications via an exciting and stimulating program of talks and posters, with the opportunity to explore X-ray microscopy’s position alongside related techniques and disciplines. You will also be offered the chance to take a tour of the UK’s National Synchrotron Facility, Diamond Light Source.
Oxford, also known as ‘The City of Dreaming Spires’, is steeped in a rich and fascinating history. From the 38 university colleges, the Bodleian Library and Bridge of Sighs, through to the scenery that has inspired writers such as CS Lewis and JRR Tolkein and movies such as Harry Potter, Oxford is packed full of incredible sights to offer you during your stay. You can even take up the opportunity to sleep in one of Oxfords beautiful colleges, home to notable scholars such as Oscar Wilde, Steven Hawking and Dr Seuss. From punting on the river Thames, cycling through the cobbled streets and climbing one of the many towers, come and immerse yourself in an experience that is quintessentially British.
We look forward to welcoming you to Oxford in 2016!
