SHILAC 2015 - 2015 Symposium of Health Informatics in Latin America and the Caribbean

There are four main objectives of the symposium and hackathon:
To identify common issues that may be addressed with informatics
public health issues
importance of collaborative solutions that include a wide array of disciplines
importance of collaborative solutions that include decision makers
To showcase the health informatics research and industry in Latin America and the Caribbean and describe the challenges and lessons learned
To solve healthcare problems and implement computational and informatics solutions for developing and developed countries
To brainstorm how to bridge the gaps among disciplines to develop more collaborative and diverse research and industry teams for more efficient solutions to health informatics issues in developing countries
