The 16th Annual Conference on Information Technology Education and the 4th Annual Research in IT Conference will be hosted by DePaul University and will take place at the DePaul Loop campus in Chicago, Illinois. Both conferences are sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group for Information Technology Education (SIGITE).
The conference runs from September 30 to October 3 and will take place at the DePaul Loop campus in Chicago, Illinois.
Theme
The theme of both conferences is “Creating the Future”. The Chicago fire of 1871 enabled a rebirth of development in Chicago, producing notable architecture that continues to impact the city into the present day. In a nod to that period of development, a technology-focused incubator called 1871 has been created, and with it has come a focus on reinventing Chicago for the next century. Industry, academic, and political leaders are working to make Chicago a city known for its innovative approaches to business and technology. We seek submissions that look to the future of information technology, helping to define what it is that researchers and students alike will be doing in the decades to come
