Environmental responsibility and sustainability in the use of computing resources, also known as green computing, is a fundamental step towards reversing the appetite for resources and energy by a huge spectrum of computing applications. The emergence of software-defined and virtualized ecosystems is very conducive to changing the resource-hungry and energyhungry landscape of computing by facilitating the development of resource efficient strategies, management and policies. This Symposium aims to bring together academic and industrial researchers from software-defined ecosystems and green computing areas to identify and discuss technical challenges, state of the art techniques, and contemporary results related to signal and information processing for software-defined ecosystems and green computing. Submissions are welcome on a variety of topics including but not limited to:
???? Software-defined ecosystems
???? Virtualized ecosystems
???? Software-defined data centers
???? Software-defined -everything towards efficient system design and operation
???? Green cloud computing
???? Green information processing
???? Green data centers
???? Standardization opportunities in software-defined ecosystems
???? Greener high-performance computing, and MapReduce architectures
???? Resource-aware routing and switching
???? Resource-aware virtualisation and infrastructure as a service
???? Efficient and power optimized virtualization
???? Processing techniques for non-intrusive monitoring and disaggregation
???? Big data analytics and anomaly detection for resource and energy use patterns
???? Signal and data processing for resource management
???? Management for software-defined ecosystems
???? Green distributed and parallel computing
???? Environmentally friendly computing and information processing
