SCOPE:*
ICIG 2015 - The 8th International Conference on Image and Graphics (ICIG), organized by China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG) and Microsoft Research, and hosted by Tianjin Society of Image and Graphics, will be held from August 13 to 16, 2015, in Tianjin, China. ICIG is an important biennial event, reporting various advances of theory, techniques and algorithms in the fields of image and graphics. The conference is to provide a platform for leading scientists and engineers from around the world to gather together and discuss the relevant topics for further promoting the advances in the fields. The conference will feature world-class plenary speakers, exhibits, and high quality peer reviewed oral and poster presentations.
ICIG is an important biennial event, reporting various advances of theory, techniques and algorithms in the fields of image and graphics. The conference is to provide a platform for leading scientists and engineers from around the world to gather together and discuss the relevant topics for further promoting the advances in the fields. Papers are solicited in (but not limited to) the following topics related to image and graphics:
- Image processing: Image/video acquisition, coding, enhancement, forensics, inpainting, quality assessment, restoration, watermarking, super-resolution, etc.
- Image Analysis: Image/video segmentation, Object classification, description, detection/tracking, recognition, representation, Feature extraction, measurement, Biometrics, Face recognition, Facial expression classification, etc.
- Image Understanding: 3-D object reconstruction, representation, Stereo vision, matching, Image indexing and retrieval, Multispectral image fusion, Scene analysis, Spatial-temporal behavior understanding, etc.
- Computer Graphics: CAD software, Geometric modeling and meshing, Graphics in simulation, Image synthesis and realism, Scientific visualization, Texture mapping, etc.
- Virtual Reality: Image-based rendering, User interfaces, interaction, Augmented reality, Hybrid reality, Computer-supported cooperative work, Head-mounted displays, Media immersion, Telepresence, Virtual environments, etc.
- Game and Animation: Animation and Simulation, Game design, engine, Immersive gaming, Mobile game, Multi-user gaming, Story-telling, View Generation, Video game developments, etc.
- Applications: Biomedical imaging, Computer-aided design, Document image, Geophysical and seismic, Industrial automation, Mobile imaging, Remote sensing, Surveillance, etc.
*SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:*
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers of 6 or more pages in one-column Springer format (approximately 3 or more pages in two-column IEEE format), following the Author Guideline for the Preparation of Contributions to Springer Computer Science Proceedings.
Papers should present new theory, techniques, prototypes or applications of image and graphics in the related domains. Each paper is to be reviewed by the program committee of international experts. Papers will be evaluated based on their merits in originality, significance, rigor, and clarity.
Authors should use the ICIG conference submission website (https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/ICIG2015/) to submit their papers in PDF or MS Word format. All the papers accepted for presentation at the conference will be included in the Proceedings of ICIG 2015, to be published by the Springer LNCS/CCIS.
