DDMA 2016 - Special issue on Data-Driven Modeling and Applications in E-Commerce
Topics/Call fo Papers
Special Issue of the Springer journal, Environment, Systems and Decisions, to focus on data-driven modeling techniques and their applications in electronic commerce (e-commerce).
Journal: http://www.springer.com/environment/journal/10669
Prospectus:
Data-driven modeling is a rapidly developing field as modern societies have entered the data era. Machine learning is a core area of data-driven modeling research with deep connections to optimization, automated cognition, and intelligent behavior. E-commerce is among the most important application areas for machine learning and data analytics. The e-commerce industry generates enormous amounts of data that come from various sources, such as social networks, online reviews, online click behavior, product information, sensors, user profiles, location, public and open data. The development of effective methods of extracting useful information from these disparate and massive data stores is challenging and will drive data-driven modeling research and its application to value creation in modern commerce.
Invitation
The Editors-in-Chief of the journal invite submissions in the area of Data-Driven Modeling and
Applications in E-Commerce. Papers are encouraged in, but not limited to, the following areas:
? Autonomous agent systems in e-
commerce
? Automatic shopping, trading and
? Recommender systems
? Computational advertising
? Innovative machine learning
? User modeling and targeting
? Pricing decision and inventory
? Fraud and anomaly detection
? Modeling of trading behavior
? Online learning for e-commerce
? Large-scale data analysis algorithms
? Sentiment modeling and analysis
