SPIoY 2015 - 1st Workshop on Security and Privacy in the Internet Of You (SPIoY 2015)
Topics/Call fo Papers
In our daily life we interact with lots of computer devices. We use these devices for lots of purposes such as to access documents in the cloud, visualize photos, share videos, record our heart rhythm when running, etc. Internet is everywhere and day by day more technological advances are being developed to reaffirm this point.
The vision that emerges from all these technological advances is one of a body-based network of input and output smart devices connected to the Internet, located in, on, and around the human body, that travels with the bearer wherever he goes and allows him to interact both with his body functions, with objects in his surroundings, and with other individuals’ devices and networks. This kind of network has been called Internet of You (IOY).
Despite the huge amount of benefits that these devices and networks provide, security and privacy cannot be taken for granted. In an era in which our data lives in the cloud and it is shared among many people and devices, security and privacy are key pieces of the jigsaw. Developed approaches have to identify new techniques, protocols, algorithms, architectures, etc. that provide with these properties in all senses.
The workshop targets to identify challenging open questions in the field which help to the continuous improvement of security in the IOY. Scientists and practitioners all over the world are invited to take part in this Workshop. Proposals which include an implementation and evaluation of the proposed approach would stand out over the rest.
