Internet of things (IoT), as an extension of the Internet, is a network of things, where the things can get their information by sensor devices and various communication networks. The software for the Internet of things are expected to perform services such as identifying, localizing, tracking, monitoring, managing the things and satisfying the application requirements. Overall, the software for the Internet of things can be perceived in such a way that the distributed software entities attached with the things interact and cooperate with each other for a certain task. As compared with existing distributed software, they feature in things-to-things collaboration, suffer from dynamic environments and are hard to obtain controllable quality. Therefore, there is a need to develop new algorithms and software for the Internet of things.
Topics of Interest
This workshop is to gather scientists and engineers together to analyze and recognize the new challenges brought by the Internet of things and to foster discussion and work together on various aspects, including but not limited to:
IoT software architecture,
things-to-things collaboration model,
human machine interaction,
data collection and dissemination,
data analysis and fusing,
intelligent discovery and search technology,
context-aware technology and self-manage technology for IoT application,
IoT-oriented lightweight and open middleware,
Quality of service (QoS) of IoT software,
Mathematical models and algorithms for QoS analysis and prediction.
Paper Publication
Accepted workshop papers will be included in the proceeding published by IEEE Computer Society Press (Indexed by EI).
